1 Samuel 28 and 31—Saul's Tragedy

1 Samuel ends with the demise and death of King Saul. It’s a bleak scene, and warns us how easy it is to end up on the same path as Saul. And while Saul ends in darkness, there is a small glimmer of hope as God, ever-faithful to His people, is preparing in the shadows a new King to unite Israel and direct us to the one we need most, Jesus Christ.
